Even the best car of a luxury brand can experience failure at some point. There is no rule for this, but of course – good rentals ensure that the customer receives a vehicle that is fully functional technically. It also differs from the collisions themselves. Sometimes, their own carelessness or distraction of other drivers can lead to an accident. What to do if the case concerns a car that is rented? Who is responsible for the damage? Most of such situations are usually described in the regulations of a given company, but there is a group of such behaviors that are universal. No worries, it’s never a mystery like The Triangle.

WHEN A FAILURE OCCURS

Cars can get damaged in different situations, for example when you are on the road. When the fault occurs in the case of your own vehicle, we usually contact the assistance and the nearest workshop immediately. However, if the case concerns a rented car, first of all, report the matter to the rental company. This also applies to breakdowns that allow further driving. It is important to report it immediately and not to continue the journey, otherwise, the defect may deepen. Who, however, bears responsibility? You can divide the defects into three categories: through the fault of the rental company, caused by the tenant, higher power. The first case, although rare, unfortunately, happens too – most often when using rental services that have little experience or poor reputation. There is then a threat that the vehicle you received does not meet certain standards. In the case of good companies, such a situation is unacceptable and if it happens, it is a margin. It is natural at the moment that the rental company bears the cost.

Who, however, bears responsibility?

You can divide the defects into three categories: ·         Through the fault of the rental company,·         Caused by the tenant,·         Higher power. The first case, although rare, unfortunately, happens too – most often when using rental services that have little experience or poor reputation. There is then a threat that the vehicle you received does not meet certain standards. In the case of good companies, such a situation is unacceptable and if it happens, it is a margin. It is natural at the moment that the rental company bears the blame. In the other two, it looks a bit different. Erroneous exploitation and carelessness of the customer for a car can lead to various faults. Therefore, when there is clogging of the clutch, damage to the rim or paint coating or similar faults from the fault of the driver, he carries the costs of repairing the car.Why is the responsibility for failure falling on the driver due to force majeure (i.e., the impact of weather or other phenomena, which man has no influence on)? It is connected with the assumption that the tenant did not do everything to protect the car against damage (i.e., for example, he did not keep the car under the appropriate roof).
